This one was a casual while out to dinner with a long time friend, Nastia, last months, a stage actor who has been in a number of films also. D800, shooting one handed and hand holding a 40x40cm softbox Yongnuo 568ex flash using RF flash controller. The softbox is small enough for events without getting in the way and light enough for one handed operation. The D800 with grip and 2.8 lens is pretty heavy for 1 handed use.

This one is another casual of my GF while we were out for a walk and stopped on a shaded bench away from the harsh mid-day sun with a 24-70 2.8, SB900 fill flash. D800. I almost always have a flash with the camera, more often off camera with RF flash controllers.

Here is one taken 2 weeks ago of a girl I did not know, in a small dance club that was dead that night. She was with her 2 girl friends and caught her when resting after dancing. Strong red light in for ambient light so have to overpower that to get her face without the red tint.

Plus two others I met that night. It was strange, only about 12 girls in the club and 1 guy, me. All were very attractive and with great personalities. The girl in the blue dress is a nurse and 28 years old. The two on either side were shot with a 24-70 2.8 D800 and the one in the middle was with 85 1.8G

I went to the beach for a levitation inspired shoot. Whilst setting up the heavens opened so we took cover, after the rain stopped we got this shot.

Moody clouds, wind, still a little rain, high speed sync flash and a crystal ball :)
