Got this picture of Pat last night... did color and B&W. She is never really happy with pictures of herself... but I enjoy them. Liked this one. You can see the smile in her eyes.

Can you be more specific? Are you using a skin-tone tool in a specific program? (I love Photoshop but am completely ignorant about Lightroom.)

I do it manually in Affinity Photo (which is very PS-like). You create three copies of the RGB shot in your layers, clear all color channels until the three only have an R, G and B channel left, recolour those to CMY and then (lighten) blend all three layers together. HSL adjust the hue by 180° and you're done. It's pretty simple but afterwards you need to play with curves a bit to get things right.

I think it's the perfect color model for wedding photography. Skin, whites and blacks are wonderful. I'll have to camp in town for a bit until I can snipe a wedding going on. For other photography (except all things skin and swans) it doesn't always work that well.
