Busy day at the Ard -- nice lady up from Long Beach looking for warblers. I talked up the forum and hopes she'll join up.

I saw this fellow standing in the bushes, covered in a big black towel. I thought it might be some sort of Druid worship practice, but he was just taking pictures

Just because he has a camera does not mean he is not a druid priest. You have every other kind of religious practitioner out there.

Well, he was mumbling incantations from a small book and I figured he was trying to figure out how the camera worked, but you could be right.

10mb model photographers DSC_1838+2016 EDM MRR Show -0016.jpg

How about model photographers
Not photographers who take pictures of models.
But a scale model that features models of photographers.
This scene at the Edmonton Model Train Show has no less than four miniature 'photographers'.
The model builder also use mini bright lights to simulate flashes. Too cool

Wish this photographer had done the scene more justice with a deeper DOF to get it all in sharp focus.

You should have jumped in and become their mediator with the first comment of, "If you guys were shooting with a Nikon instead of that inferior camera, you wouldn't be having this discussion on settings."

It was more like

"Why are you shooting f9 at that speed? No wonder its grainy!"
"Doesn't look grainy to me."
"It's grainy! Go down two stops."
"I don't want to go down two stops. . . "
"Fine. Do whatever you want, but its still grainy."

And I ain't jumping into that.
