At first glance, a rather dull little moth, but some nice blue iridescence when it opened its wings

Here are some I shot today with my new-to-me D90. I got some learning to do!

They just don't look like they are properly in focus and a little washed out.

not sure what these are called. I was told butterflies like that plant though, which is why I planted one by the patio on the sunny side. It worked! ;)
