This is about two inches in diameter. So why am I posting it in this “MICRO flowers” thread? Look up pseudanthium. If this were a contest to see who can post the smallest flowers, then with this picture, I'd be way ahead of everyone else so far.

This one is off of a tree. Some variant of a Maple I think. About the size of a pinky nail.

OK my first attempt and the flower closed up before I got back outside today. I guess it might be because it looks like it might rain. Anyway here it is!

I think it was about 1/8 inch or a little less maybe. It was tiny for sure even before it closed up. Hopefully I'll get another chance at it opened up!
