I was thinking that I wished I'd had a high magnification setup to get just the eye of the toad. I thought I'd just get an idea of what it would look like by severely cropping the second photo above. I was surprised at how well the image managed with rather extreme enlargement. I did run it through Topaz beforehand, although the full image above was straight to Lightroom. I did have to remove a rather distracting reflection in the pupil portion. You can just barely see it in the full sized, but it was very evident in the enlargement. You could even tell it was a leaf and the bottom of my diffuser. I will try and have my extension tubes handy next time I find one of these around. It doesn't give me much more magnification with a 105mm lens, but every bit helps.

A little tighter crop and I would call this "Eye of Sauron".
