A few samples of my first efforts with my Kenko extension tubes - will have to look for some on-line tutorials on how to get the most from these tubes. Looks like they could be lots of fun. But my keeper ratio is very low - maybe one in 40 is a keeper - shooting hand held in late evening sun. Tried the AF and while it does work - and seems to work best with only one extension tube attached, I found it best to go to MF and just move in and out (less than 2-3 cm of lens movement maybe) and use the rapid fire shutter. Gentle breeze is also a macro shooters enemy - although it feels loverly on a hot summer evening.
I dont normally take photos of dead things but this bugger woke me up last night as it was having a chew on my hair... Needless to say it died quickly.
this was a quick night time shot that I took just an hour ago...
Not looking to spend a lot of setup time with this one... just wanted to get a quick shot with 2 lights
