Scroll down the page (number 2) and you find some insect that look pretty similar: Troll haired insect. It only got discovered some years ago. I don't know where you live but you might be the first in your country to shoot this one.

If this is full frame, just crop it to around 1000x1000. I do that regularly.

My Sigma 28-90 is not strictly a macro lens but has a macro setting at 90mm. I think it does a credible job although it would not be much use in low light. This flower is about the size of an American Quarter

and this one about the size of a dime.

Trying the macro combo on the D7200.





It's raining so I got to do something.

I should get the equivalent of about 3.2:1 at my minimum focus distance. Using close-up filters on top I might go beyond the 6:1 but I have to test that.

Macro with the Raynox DCR 250 on the end of my 70-300mm VR.


1st, just for perspective, the bloom in the macro shot actually sitting on an American dime.

Uncropped, except to get to a 4x5 (8x10) format instead of the 4x6 native. Shot outside before I brought it in for the perspective shot (and before I mowed).
