pelos de la araña.jpg I need more photos in each stop, to improve the deep of field, (20 photos in this case) I used extension tubes with inverted 40mm macro nikkor........Do you Know other combination of leens to have more aproximation. Tnx.

Stacked extension tubes was extremely popular at one time. The magnification keeps increasing and the light keeps falling off, so you need a pretty powerful light for extreme macro.

My 105mm F2.8 AIS is basically a 0.5x macro. With the supplied dedicated extension tube it become 1.15x. There are two sets of markings on the barrel showing the magnification factor and the effective f stop, one set with the tube and a second one without.

Closest I've gotten yet, but the sucker was too high in the tree to grab a bigger. This is about 80% crop vertically from a horizontal shot.
