I posted these types of ants last year and learned that they are Aphid tending ants. They protect the Aphids and in return they get the honey dew they give off. Also the wasps and hornets eat the aphids,DSC_8038.jpgDSC_8049.JPGDSC_8028.JPG

Can anyone let me know, which gear you use for these amazing shots? I am looking at buying either auch, I dont know the english word - between ring??? or maybe a reverse ring for my 50mm, but maybe I should get it for the 70-200mm as well?

Go here and read the macro article on my website. It should give you an idea of what is available and what I use.
