Here's a shot of my impromptu set-up for my "bee" pics... just got my bellows etc in the last couple of weeks - time to set it all up properly in the next few days,
bought a "Cognysis" outfit and haven't even unboxed it yet, been busy building a new garden shed in my backyard... photography has had to take a back seat.
cheers

Looks good but you seem kind of stuck once you set it up. Would love to see what magnification you get. Take a photo of a ruler when you can please :)

Scott - here's the pics of a ruler (and coin) that you asked for... please excuses the crappy quality of these as my setup is at t's very basic stage - when I get the time I'll set it all up on it's own breadboard with lights etc... then I'll be able to control everything and get down to really doing macro work...
these are "full frame"

this is taken with my 105mm macro at full bellows extension. got a little over 10mm..

then I reversed my 24mm wide angle onto the bellows... bit over 2mm

and then I did a couple of a $2 coin... the coin is 20mm wide and 2.5mm thick.

here's a shot of the LL from Dollar...

and the other side...

and here's some detail from the Queens tiara..

The high detail ones were taken with my 24mm "reversed" despite what the EXIF data says... as the lens was on the bellows with no contact with the camera's electronics I assume it locked onto the last lens that was mounted "normally" and displayed that info in the EXIF file... I'm in the very early stages of learning all about the bellows and what it can (and can't) do... steep learning curve - but fun ;)
