I only see that it attaches to the tripod mount. Is there an adapter to mount it to the side lugs?
You're not missing anything, that's just how it attaches. There was a time I was resistant to using the tripod socket as a mount point for my sling but the Joby has a thick, squishy rubber grommet and swivel system that I feel confident in using. If you're loathe to give up the tripod socket because you can't then mount your camera to a tripod at the same time, then I would have to say the Joby is simply not the sling for you.

Peter Hurley paid a visit to Detroit this weekend. I picked up a pair of these sweet Rapid Box 10" x 24" Strip boxes as I plan to get back into OCF flash work for portraits and head shots. Great units, high quality and very portable.

I am also considering adding a Yongnuo Assembly Free Softbox through Tim Payne:

I tend to use my tripod on shaky grounds at times so leave the sling on to protect it if it falls.

The sling I use is the CarrySpeed. It has a mounting plate that connects to the tripod socket, but the mounting plate has a socket that allows you to connect a tripod to it. See carryspeed.com It also has a safety strap.

Unfortunately you can no longer buy it in the USA, apparently because black rapid got CarrySpeed banned here.

Bought a CarrySpeed in Canada - I have two of them, they work but getting extra plates is getting harder, last time I went looking for an extra ended up buying a whole new kit for less - but that was on clearance. I do hear it has something to do with copyright.

I got this to meet an immediate need for my wife's latest quilting project:

Epson Artisan 1430 Wireless Color Wide-Format Inkjet Printer

I've just run some shots for her so far, but I am impressed with the output. I wanted a P800, but I can't justify the extra $800 to go from a max print width of 13 inches to one of 17 inches. Anything that big will just have to go out to the lab.

Get with me next week. Just waiting on the money. How many shutter count??

2948 on the shutter count. Used for two weddings.

And if you have a 70 or 80-200/2.8 would be sweeter.

I don't have a lens for it, just the body and OEM battery grip, as well as the Nikon wireless adapter, cabled shutter release, and an extra LCD screen cover. Body and battery grip come with the original boxes/manuals/cable.

I'll PM you next week though if that's best.

The title sold me - that and being on sale for half price.

And my latest effort at phoDOGraphy - this tiny Yorkie is a challenge - full of energy, never sits still and just try focusing on those hidden eyes.
