I had a feeling you would. did you trade in your D750 ?

The 750 has gone,i spent the last month in denial :D but going back to birds meant it just wasn't the right camera no matter how good it was at certain things, thought about keeping it but i bet there will be things i can get with the money and use a lot more.

If I did as many birds shots as you I probably would have done the same. DX for fast moving small subjects can't be beat. Mirrorless of any make can't match the AF capabilities.

Not Photo related, well kinda

I decided it was time to upgrade my ancient Samsung S4 Mini to something a little more modern. Looked at both the S6 and the Edge but didn't like the "feel" of the edge so went with the standard one.

Also decided to order the wireless charger too !!

I love Amazon Prime but I also hate it too, its a dangerous thing !! Ordered on the 8th and turned up last night

Purchases recently... well... other than the new washing machine we're buying this weekend (goodbye lens fund again), nothing as of late. I did get GIFTED something recently though! My mom came across and old gunny sack full of old camera gear. Most of it isn't worth much, as it wasn't protected in any way, but there were a couple of old Kodak Brownie models in there, one of which I think might be restored with a bit of effort.

...and then there was the gem (to me), and old Polaroid 250 Land Camera in pretty damn good shape! Complete with warming plate and flash! The carrying case is rough, but everything inside was well preserved, including the actual camera casing and collapsible bellows, which don't look to have any holes or decaying bits at all! The battery was left in the camera, so there's a little corrosion there, but I've got a sneaking suspicion that this thing can EASILY be restored back to an operable condition, and I'm looking forward to giving it a go in the near future (probably Spring, since the self-developing film is sensitive to colder temps).

Pics will follow soon. (tonight, tomorrow, sometime...) Until then, it's back to the sweat factory.

(Here's a link to a pic of the same model camera without the flash kit)

Parapop38-3.jpg

I ordered this Glow Parapop 38 from Adorama about two weeks ago. It throws a nice soft light, but it has been an adventure with Adorama's customer service department to get there.

I tried it out quickly before I ran out the door to a shoot at the school last night, only to have my Pocket Wizards stop working about halfway through the shoot. After that, I just used on-camera flash bounced off of the ceiling, and the initial look at the results appear to show the shots with the Parapop were the better of them.

Cool! That looks like what I would want! When I start to get studio gear, I will put one of these on my list! Thanks my friend for the info! :)
