Congrats on the 7100... I have one and really like it... use the 18-105 a lot with mine!

I'm pretty sure I took the pic on my phone in portrait, so why it has rotated I don't know!!

It's the GH-100 head which is a ball head :)

I can get my new project underway now! Maybe tomorrow, though, as I'll be having a few sherberts tonight! :D

yeah but a "trigger" ballhead as opposed to the straight ball head (SBH-100) which Pat and I both got with our kits, loving mine btw,

Ah I see - sorry! There's my photogrophy n00b-ness coming through :rolleyes:

The reviews were all positive. I've had a bit of a play in the office but not got camera with me at the minute so haven't tested it properly but I like it so far.

I have the same 'pod with the kit ball head. I have been contemplating a second head, but have not decided between a standard pan head or this ball with grip. I would appreciate hearing your review of it.

wev i thought the same thing, i might upgrade to the trigger head and add the plain ball head to my monopod

I went with this tripod. I may upgrade later to the handle grip. But I figured this is a good start considering I never owned a tripod worth more then 20.00!
