Just getting geared up for our anniversary trip at the end of the month, so the pieces of gear are just starting to show up.

Today, it's two Nikon lenses: AF-S DX Micro 40mm f/2.5G and a AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G.

Nothing as flash as some of the awesome gear on this thread (and a good thread to stay well clear of ;) ) but I have wanted a remote trigger for a while and mine finally arrived today from eBay. 4 Remote control transceivers means I can have two off camera flashes triggered remotely.

Excellent purchase. Got the same thing couple of months back and to my memory I think I've only noticed it missing flash once in all my shots.
Having just gone into a studio last weekend and used full on profoto gear. it missed twice in 2hours 30 minutes!

Today was the day! UPS tried to psych me out by telling me the camera body would be delivered on Friday, but everything showed up today! Time to get batteries charging, and I've got some testing to do on Saturday!

This isn't the entire kit, just the more interesting stuff I thought. It's like my birthday came a month early! (at least until the credit card bill comes due :D )

Nikon 35mm F2D comes tomorrow. A lightweight favorite of mine. I had one and sold it. My mistake. Overall, cost me an additional $50 for the lesson.

UPS came over here as well today - I nearly hugged the delivery man I was so excited! I bought a D5300 (my very first DSLR) with a Nikkor 18-105, the Tamron 70-300 VC USD and a Kata Sling Backpack. I have 0 patience so this battery loading is brutal but I will be strong and resist taking it out. Can't wait to start shooting tomorrow!

Wendy, your post on 5300 vs 7100 was instrumental in me picking up this 5300 that was delivered today. Thanks for starting that thread with your questions...helped me with my decision too!

Wow! 10 likes for the dust blower/sensor cleaner? That was a bit of a surprise, hehe. I wonder how many I'll get if I get the spring-loaded spacer that attaches to the lens mount for the dust blower, LOL. (just kidding, couldn't resist) ;)
