That seems excessive, no? That would imply an uncalibrated monitor changes like crazy every few weeks. And while I can't say that's not the case, it sure doesn't seem like it is. But who knows, maybe they do run amok within a couple of weeks. I guess I'll have to pick one up and see for myself.

Dave, honestly I don't know whether every 2 weeks is excessive or not. Before I bought it, I watched several YouTube videos all of which stated they recalibrated every 2 weeks plus everything I read about it online said every 2 weeks. I just pulled out the directions but there isn't anything specified about recalibrating. Once the monitor is calibrated, the default setting is every 2 weeks although you have the option to override it like I did when I chose every month. Since I just recalibrated, I don't know the longest duration of time they allow. I'll try to remember to check the next time I do it.

30 of High Life. Can't function without some motivation and inspiration, if you know what I mean. XD

Else scored a $12 new vest to upkeep some business look for the new season as my old one took too many beatings over the years.

Does the Spyder allow you to save the new calibration as a "profile" or something similar that you can just call up every few weeks or so?

Yes, you can name the profile whatever you choose, and it is saved. You are prompted to recalibrate every ___________ (you get to choose that, too). The default is 2 weeks, but there is an option for every month. I just don't recall what, if any, other options are available as far as time limits go.

Then I've a dumb question, couldn't you just recall the previous profile rather than recalibrate every 2 weeks? Or does each calibration look different from the one two weeks earlier?

Umm...I don't know! I never thought to even look! I will keep it in mind the next time I calibrate. Unfortunately it is rather dark today due to the weather and it will remain so for the next several days. Otherwise, I would have recalibrated just to find out!

The recalibration is checking the profile against the monitor basically to make sure its still good. If I understand it correctly and it doesn't like the current profile then it do a full calibration. I have only had this happen 1 time, which was better because I had a better understanding of the tool. Now I have set to remind every 4 weeks, takes a couple of minutes and it hasn't asked me to a do full in some time. You do have the option of doing a full at anytime.

The difference can be found here, its a nice pdf if you are interested in Spyder. I know colomunki is pretty highly rated as well.

I went with the pro because of the color temperature choices.

My sb-800 speed light arrived today, and like it was described, it looks brand new and in perfect condition! WooooooHoooooo! :D
I'll have to wait though for my new batteries to be delivered though. But if I have some cash I might buy some regular batteries just to try it out sooner! Lol :D

Got another 16 pack of those Eneloop batteries and an eyepiece for the F4. The Giottos MML3290B monopod arrived today. Wow it's super nice quality and easy to use and I could even put my Vangaurd ADH-340K head on it as it has a 3/8" screw mount. It is amazing to think that is has not been since 1982 since I bought a full-sized monopod or tripod.

Nikon 24mm f2.8 AI-S lens. (I really need to stay away from this thread, hehe)
The reason behind this is I really need a wide-angle and this one will do for the time being while I save up for a 24 1.4G. Incidentally, this is the first 24mm I've EVER owned. I've always previously used a 28mm f2.8.
Here are photos of the actual lens that should be coming in the mail soon.

Yes, you should probably stay off this thread, but you know you won't.
