Ball heads are awesome, once you get used to it, you'll love it. For years I used an old Manfrotto platform head but had problems with star photographs so I finally made the switch. Now that I'm used to the ball head, I can't imagine ever going back

Nikon TC-301 2x teleconverter...to make my 300 f2.8 AI-S into a 600 f5.6 ready for birding
Ok maybe I'll look like a dork (kidding) wearing this but hey since I was a teenager I've liked the pro photographer look and this official Nikon vest just looked too good to pass up. Not sure when I would wear it, probably for birding or other fun outings.
Sony XQD card reader (didn't come with my D4 so had to get one)
Sony XQD 32 GB card to go with it
A Nikon D800/D800e brochure. I guess I am old-fashioned and still enjoy a real paper brochure to flip through rather than just a PDF.
And likewise a Nikon D4 brochure...
And finally (for today LOL), a Giottos MML3290B, five section aluminum monopod to help me out a bit with the 300 mm lens

From what I understand of heroin addiction, I'm finding obtaining the latest and greatest photography equipment to be just as addictive...and expensive! It takes more expensive to get the same buzz I used to get for less money!
