Ever wonder why people who are experienced in designing houses do things like put a washer and drier between 2 doors with no room to spare? We have the same situation in our house and neither door can be opened all of the way. Placement of the drier exhaust is another issue and the vent to outside is right behind the ac unit.

i have not had any problems with the doors - bathroom door opens into the bathroom - backdoor opens flat against dryer. My vent situation is the same as your, other than when the old dryer needed service it was a bugger to move around to get to the back.

After watching a Scott Kelby video where he showed some impressive results with a 50" Westcott Softbox, I looked up its price. $169. Gulp. :cower: So after checking prices for other comparable size softboxes, I found this 47" Godox on Amazon. Godox has received some very positive reviews here of their flashes and triggers so I decided to get one. The Amazon reviews for this are favorable. It hasn't arrived yet, but it will be interesting to try it out.

Having ponied up for the Westcott Apollo softbox I'm very disappointed in the quality. The very first time I took it to use it for a shoot one of the thin (and apparently fragile) bars inside it snapped. This was inside and it was not roughly handled, just broke when I opened it up. Very disappointed. Since I imported it from the US shipping it back for warranty is a real bother. I'm going to try a home made repair but my rating for the Apollo drops to one star.

As for Godox - I use their flashes and triggers - works great for me, love their lithium powered flash - several times the lasting power of AAA's and recharge time is superfast.

After reading some of the reviews for the Westcott softbox, I really didn't want to spend the money. Some owners cited similar problems like you experienced. Neewer also has a comparable softbox with good reviews. I chose the Godox only because I feel it is more of a major brand than Neewer.

That and when you open it up you proclaim to have a Divine Bovine aks God's OX - ... have seen a few efforts to explain what that name means but have fun with whatever you want to make it mean.

It's Friday night and the first Friday night of June 2017 so you know what that means...

Surprise, I get to buy all new floors, baseboards, and maybe some wall repair. Thanks Texas Floods! That's what I was really looking forward to buying. :(

It says "squirrel proof" we will see if my squirrel can read the packaging.

Of course it is photography related - how else do you get birds? Go out walking in mosquito infested marshlands?

Well I finally pulled the trigger - well I pulled it almost two weeks ago and ordered it from our local brick and mortar camera shop, takes a while that way as in 13 days but who is counting. Pondered adding a lens but didn't.

Picked it up after work and at the moment there are already 1,179 shots on the camera from my testing and a walk by the lake.

SM D500 ON Box DSC_9157+D500.jpg

Of most of those 1,179 shots were with the 200-500. Also tried it with the 70-200 and a couple of others.
Have to finish the set up and customize it. And have to figure out how to snap-a-bridge and get used to different button placement.

Here is one of my first batch from my backyard testing.

And an action shot from my walk by the lake

And with the 70-200 a running dog shot - and this was shot at dusk.

I am happy.

Congratulations on the new addition. Nice first shots. I don't think there be any buyers remorse on this purchase :encouragement:
