Well I just ordered the battery grip for my new D5100, a battery, and another bos tail to use with my black rapid shoulder strap! :)
I don't know if it's just me or not, but the D5100 seems to have less room on the stock grip than my D3100 without a battery grip. Lol :)

I just purchased a sigma 28-300 f3.5-5.6D AF IF lens off of craigslist for 65.00. Haven't had the chance to try it out, but it seems like a sharp copy indoors here.
Any thoughts about this older lens? Its not the macro version.

Note: Seems a little slow to focus.. but I'll be using it off a tripod anyway. And I had to put the wristband around it to stop lens creep. Other than that.. anyone else that has this lens care to comment their experiences?

I just bought a Nikon Nikkor 50mm f1.8 Lens AI lens and I'm waiting for it to be shipped! After looking though the AF-D lenses, I felt the AI version would be a better bet for me for now. The AF-D lenses seemed to look cheap in comparison to the AF-S version, and I wanted to get the lens that would fit my future plans to go to full frame Nikon. I figure later once I have a full frame Nikon I can decide what lenses I need to be AF and buy them then. So MF lens seemed the best choice for me for now anyway! Lol :D

I too bought Nikon Nikkor 50mm f1.8G Af-s lens two days back. I am madly in love with it, esp the bokeh. :)

Well my new Nikkor 50mm f1.8 ai lens, my battery grip, and my bos tail arrived today! Man this new 50mm lens is so much better than the Nikkor series E 50mm I already had! What a sharp lens! I'm looking forward to taking it out, when I get a chance!:D

I went against Ken Rockwell's advice and purchased a very very nice Nikon Nikkor 35-105mm lens.

My lens arrived today! Man, I love this lens so far! It may be my new primary every day carry lens. It is very very clear and sharp. The only con to this is the easy touch zoom that might be a bit on the loose end. Will check it to see if it moves when the camera is tilted nose down.

I bought a Fujifilm X100 yesterday. I won't get to play with it until I get back home.
I am still waiting for the D7000 kit I won on ebay 3 weeks ago..
