There are some really excellent hummingbird photos here. We don't have much in the way of hummingbirds in FL but when I was up in WA they were everywhere each summer. We had a hummingbird feeder on our deck and they would be all around it. It used to frustrate our cats no end........I think sometimes the hummingbirds were intentionally taunting them!

We were in an old mining town in Colorado where every business and home were hung with feeders and the hummingbirds flocked to them in the hundreds. What an awesome sight it was. And the hummers were so use to the tourist that you could practically reach up and tickle their tummies. Some sights just stay with you forever.

My wife is out running errands. I just called her and asked her to pick up a Hummingbird feeder for our deck. Maybe we will get lucky!

With all due respect, on most of your shots you appear to have good light but the images are flat.

Are you shooting raw ?

How much editing are you doing ?

Cheers, Don.

The light wasn't very good and it was quite breezy. This is the full frame, just resized to 1000

and the crop without any fiddling. Shot with 1/2 power on-board manual flash.
