Here's a photo of a lilly whilst my daughters were pond dipping. Taken at Fountains Abbey. I used Live View with the screen rotated up as the camera was almost touching the water. I used my 55-300mm Nikkor lens on my D5300.

Like your results,we have some flowers very like those and i keep throwing my images away,just cant get it right.
