I don't know if it got anything to do with using aRGB on the cam. It shouldn't affect RAW as far as I know but my colors are suddenly very spiffy. I use no saturation increase.

You are correct - if you shoot raw it doesn't matter what the color space settings are.

Hope you don't mind but IMHO the last two D750 flower shots seem to have lost detail in the petals. They are not over saturated but detail is missing.

Do you mean the white spots? I did push the contrast trying to differentiate enough but maybe that wasn't even enough. I'm gonna shoot some more colors tomorrow to see what exactly causes it. It could be the "temporary" conversion of the files.

I checked the NEF file in Nikon's and when adjusting the exposure (I shoot at -1 stop), they're this bright.

This is the Nikon conversion with only the exposure adjustment.

I used split-toning in the other and pulled the greens down. Maybe that's part of the problem.

Not specifically the white spots. It might be the site conversion, but the petals themselves don't show as much detail as you other shots. I stress I am being picky here because you set such a high standard.

No you are right. While processing I already noticed an overabundance of color and I adjusted to bring more detail. I didn't have those issues while shooting birds but these flowers sure pop. I normally don't need to bother with colors and certainly not with too much color. I'll shoot those flower again tomorrow, maybe they're just too fluffy to have enough detail in the petals.

I did this one for the monthly challenge but didn't read the rules about the submissions need to be in B & W so I will post the colour one here so as not to waste it. :)

In certain lighting conditions my D610 will heavily saturate bold color flowers. To the point I need to tone it down in post. The indigo's, deep reds, and some yellows are the main culprits.
