After two years my Bird of Paradise is finally flowering. This is the first of three to bloom. I have waited very patiently for this day.

My friend graduated from college, and when I went to her apartment to celebrate I happened to bring my Nikon to take some pictures for her and I managed to sneak one of the roses she got from her dad while she was in another room.

Nice shot. i find deep red roses amongst the hardest of flowers to capture well.

Thanks. I did find it tricky but not too difficult. I had a few others that looked ok but this shot stood out to me.
