Iris germanica, German bearded iris. They come in a bazillion colors. Linking back to a previous post, they are considered weeds in some open areas where they have become established, pushing out the native Pacific Coast iris.

A walk thru the neighborhood led to few flowers. One lawn had but one lonely little flower with it face turned to the Sun.
