My wife and I recently took a trip to Carmel, CA.
Here are some photos of flowers at our hotel. None have been edited.

Here's a cone flower I shot last year in my wife's front yard garden. It was a spur of the moment shoot, an hour before sunset. Hand held D7000 with Tokina 100 2.8 macro. ISO 200, f/5.6 @ 1/60 sec.

I'm new here and this is my first attempt to post a pic (which is in my Gallery). I tried Mr. Admin Guy's method of pasting the <img> Tag Code: into my post, but when it posted, it showed a link and not the photo. When I tried it again, I used the advanced function and the Preview Post showed the link again. The photo had to be uploaded (again) from my computer to show up in the preview. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Jim

On my orange flowers, can anyone give me some processing suggestions? I've played around a little in iPhoto and have cropped it and played with the contrast and lighting some but I never know what to do to make it look better!

I'd like to help, but I'm using a Photoshop app for my android xoom tablet, and I doubt they work alike much. But you could try adjusting the sharpness a little. That might help it pop more. Sorry I just don't know enough to be a real help. :)
