Excellent marilynne... where was the cactus at??

Pat in NH

Thanks Pat. It's between two houses on my morning bike ride. It's pretty tall, maybe 7 - 8 feet. Since I don't want to go on the lawn, none of those shots came out with the position of the morning sun. I'll have to try again when the sun's at my back.

Perhaps you can go by the house and ask permission to shoot them up close. Offer digital copies of the shots for access...
I love cactus flowers, but the plants have such sticky personalities.

It's shootable from the street and sidewalk. Just couldn't get the glare of the sun out of the shot.

Ok... took a LOT of pics at the local rose garden today. Only going to post a couple as it's 2:36 a.m. here. May or may not have spent the evening setting up the new "AMAZING" photo editing computer I'm typing on right now, LOL

1st, the most beautiful rose of the entire day... my wife amongst the blooms. :D DO NOT tell her I snapped this pic and posted it without her permission, LOL!

Then, my favorite rose of the day, a "non-typical" called the "Dainty Bess".

More to come tomorrow...

How about a rose called the "Bees Knees"? I caught another "intruder", but the little lady was out of focus as I was more interested in the bloom. ;)
