On my way to the store the other day I passed by a field of corn that was bordered by several rows of sunflowers. Pretty much all of them were dead, except for one lone group of sunflowers too stubborn to give up. I had the D5500 in the car with me, so I pulled over and got a few shots just for fun. Later when I pulled into my driveway I saw this bee slowly working its way along my butterfly bush, with this Monarch butterfly resting underneath. I wish the bee was on top of the plant in profile instead of almost disappearing into the flowers, but the light was fading fast and I couldn't wait for him to get into position. Such a poor model, lol.
