I am having trouble posting my photos.
Many times I try & post a photo it's too big.
So I resize & still have trouble.

The photo & I know it's me, I am trying to post
is my first RAW photo, I sent to Affinity & turned
into a JEPG. I cropped & did little PP on I did
select a best JPEG for the conversion.

Although I have not had luck uploading my photos
to my Gallery. Photos I took with my Film Nikons &
scanned will post ok. Regular JPEGs from the camera
D7100 don't seem to work here.

I have lot's of Photos at Nikonians & UHH no
problem uploading to these sites. So what am I
doing wrong?

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

So are you saying to set the quality low & not what you would send to your printer?

I also read where not to summit to small a file & your file would be resized to fit if too large.

Yes, we will be able to view your photo at that size.

I've seen that resize message also, but I'm not sure if it really works.

Ok so I grabbed a JPEG & did no PP just a crop.

So I will need to do 2 jpegs a quality & a lower quality copy to share.

Thank you Marilynne that did the trick, I only have one concern
left now. All the Digital scans I did from all the past Negatives load
up here, so I must have low quality scanned negs. Well I still have
the negatives at -10 for postarty LOL.

Nice image!

The scanned image quality is a function of the scanned resolution and the file compression used. The scanned images probably upload because they are a smaller file size.

You’re not alone. I like to use my iMac but for uploading I use my iPad. It’s because using the Tapatalk app with raw files just works, although it doesn’t pass the exif info. On the iMac, I never , or rather very rarely succeed in loading files. I find it bizarre

Thank you Needa, I have just begun to shoot RAW only & make myself learn how to PP & make JPEGs.
I have learned so much more about digital manipulation since getting the D7100 it's amazing.

I am learning in baby steps if I could remember 1/2 of what I learn, that's amazing 4 me. Everytime I explore Affinity Photo there are more & more places to go.
You mention EXIF data I saw a check box for including the data with the photo in Affinity, & I see it with my photo now.
