Took a wee walk in the backyard with my new-to-me vintage 70-210 Nikkor 4-5.6 AF-D lens on my D610 - I'm liking what this lens can do on that camera - "macro" taken a few feet away. Not a "micro" lens like my 60mm 2.8 G-ED lens but at 1/5th the cost it produces some nice images - no?

In Buddhism the lotus flower is known to be associated with purity, spiritual awakening and faithfulness. The flower is considered pure as it is able to emerge from murky waters in the morning and be perfectly clean. Anybody who has ever observed a lotus flower emerging from a murky pond cannot fail to see the beauty of this exquisite plant.
