I have only been planning this photo out for 3 years, but still did not get what I set out to do. I think I needed about 3x as many exposures (or more) to get the nebulae around Orion to show.

@Peter7100 : I took a photo with a very similar theme in 2021 on a day with freezing fog. You did everything better than I did.

Nice detail in this black bird, Roy. It seems any bird I photograph that is almost or fully black tends to turn out too dark. And editing after-the-fact (increasing exposure/shadows) always adds noticeable noise. Nicely captured.
