This girl just stopped by our back yard for a snack! I tried a few pix from inside the house but the window made them look to cruddy, so I went to the corner of the house and was able to get a shot before she ran off. Glad I did!

This mama elk made it clear to me not to get any closer, and if I had I am quite sure she was ready to charge. When I backed off, she settled down and let me take a few pictures. I never saw her baby, but it's clear she was being a protective mother.

I spent 3 hours watching this doe hoping to get a shot of her fawn which I had glimpsed earlier. No such luck though.

Thanks a bunch, they actually were fairly close, I shot this through my d810 and Tamron 150-600 @150mm f6.3 1/1250 ISO 640.

This little fellow found a place to rest in my flower bed. He's resting his head on a plant name tag. Few days old so I'm guessing that it's a male.

The fawns are back! Unfortunately early again so no good light in the back yard forcing me to yet again shoot them at 6400 ISO and ~1/250s but the results are still not bad. They are eating the pears falling from our pear tree.
