Yeah, I probably should get a little more into tweaking. I am still a jpeg shooter. I don't remember what settings I had for that one, but it did render a little dark.

I usually shoot in fine mode, although with the camera that has a buffer, I might try some RAW too. I use open source software, so darktable, GIMP, and digikam/showphoto
on linux. I have messed a little with it in the past. Use showphoto for crops and adjustments

Still trying out GRP autofocus when I can, and this guy flew over my house..
Not sure what he is.
ISO 2000+ and 60%crop at 600MM, so not super sharp.

Thinking it's a Cooper's hawk but that does not have a good look at the tail. Yeah, I actually did bring up local contrast in my photo. The camera jpeg was very dark.

Glow in the dark puzzle in a dark room at iso 12800. spot meter to bring up the brightness. f1.8 on DX 35mm nikkor. oops. png file so no exif.
