imo the sun is a distraction, nice sun-dog.

I enjoy trying to capture Sun Dogs, and even witnessed a halo, with a Sun Dog on the left and on the right, here a while back. I guess that fascination led me to try to capture the Sun and a Sun Dog both in the same image.
I think I understand the Sun being a distraction, I think so, too. Pretty hard to not look at a blinding light in a photo.
Here is an image that I took in the same shoot, with just the Sun Dog...Thanks again for your comments.

I may enter this in the current weekly challenge, if something better doesn't come along.
This was taken as nine separate shots, stitched together with Microsoft ICE.
Each shot was 1/50 of a second at ƒ8.0, ISO 100. Stock 18-55mm “Kit Lens” zoomed all the way in to 55mm.
The full-sized picture is 167 megapixels in size, 17439×6550 pixels.
