I posted these elsewhere on the forum but will also add them here. The Delaware River froze causing an ice jam (and subsequently some local flooding). It does make for some interesting shots though. :)

Nice! I would have liked to see this in color! Was it somewhat limited in color? Green for the trees, white for the snow, and whatever color for the rocks? I'm guessing the color version wasn't monochromatic, but I like photos that have limited shades of colors. Hmm...thinking to myself...I wonder what a photo is called when it is limited to 2 or 3 colors? Not monochromatic...but perhaps something else?

I thought selective coloring is something done in post. I'm wondering what an original photo that only contains 2-3 colors is called. It's possible it is selective coloring, but I honestly don't know.

I really like the first one. It isn't exactly how I pictured it in my mind (thought the trees would be greener), but it still contains a limited amount of colors. Thanks for posting it! :)

You are so welcome, thanks for the questions on change. its always nice to take a second look at something. I have found the most recent one I took, the above is from January 2013 and the one I will be sharing soon is October 2013 man looking through all my 2013 I realized I shoot her allot. ha ha! but good news is I have a fall one for you I am going to put up on my blog with a link of the history in case you are interested. You're welcome. I plan on shooting more when the weather gets better. We have so many railroads where I live.

Spring feels a million years away! I'm so ready for nice weather.

That is for sure, I don't know if it is because it is colder this year or just that the snow is not melting as fast. Either way I am ready for some sun, more than three days with out it and I get just plain batty.

You're doing better than me. More then a couple days I'm going nuts!

Well I am a Warehouse manager, so sometimes I think I'm a vampire or at least it feels that way when I leave and actually do get to see the sun on some days.

Funny! There are no windows where I work, plus I work B-shift so I don't see much light in the winters either.
