My Archives - At Truman Dam, Warsaw, Missouri. This was taken on the Lake of the Ozarks side of the Dam, at the spillway. Fish from Lake of the Ozarks travel upstream to feed when water is being released at the Dam. To get this shot, I stepped upon the short concrete wall below the chain link fence barrier, and looked straight down. The water was "boiling" with Carp and Channel Cat, and occasional other species. This is, of course, in a "No Fishing" zone. Innovative fishermen used to use RC boats to take their bait/snagging hooks from the allowed fishing area below the Dam, and motor up to the grey area where no fishing was allowed, and a little further when they thought they could get away with it...lol. Naturally, that bit of fun was stopped.

This day not much water was being released, and the activity was low. When lots of water is being released, and the Hydroelectric Turbines are in full swing....DINNER IS ON! Makes you think you could walk across the water to the other side on the backs of all the fish. :frog:

@J-see interesting and you have got me guessing but...what is this a picture of ?

It's just smoke of those smelly sticks. I'm using light below as single light source and shoot in complete darkness. I just rotate the shot.

I need to rethink this because I can't up ISO without introducing noise. I'm already having enough at 100. This is the sort of problem that keeps me amused.

How are you having "enough" noise at 100 ISO with the D750?
Anyway. Try it with flash maybe? Then selectively reduce brightness, contrast etc. See what happens.

As a matter of fact, take one with flash and send me the link to The RAW file. I wouldn't mind playing with it.
