Took the grandson to the Ft. Worth Stockyards today. He didn't seem to care for it that much and when the guns started going off, he was ready to be anywhere else...but I got some more cowboy shots.

The image looks rather "chalk and charcoal" to me. There are not much in the way of middle tones, which gives it somewhat of a harsh look. There are times when that effect can enhance the image but here I think it detracts from it.

I think that you lose the context with this crop and the impact of the abandoned table. If I may be so bold, I would crop to this, after some straightening

Any of the various image editors will have some sort of rotate function. I did this in FastStone, my quick and basic preference. What program are you using?
