Found some old photos in a closet at my Mom's house. Strangely, they're small prints exactly matching the size of 35mm negatives and they're printed on one long strip of photo paper that replicates a long strip of negatives. Very odd -- I've never seen anything like it. There are a dozen rolls, so it'll be interesting to see what I can find. Because the tiny prints defy scanning, I took a close-up of one as best I could with my D5100 with the 18-55mm kit lens. Later, I will try for better with my circa 1970 Nikkor 55mm Macro.

It's August 1947 and my parents are on their honeymoon. As shot by my Dad, here's my Mom on the fender of my grandfather's Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan.

I'd like some feedback on the processing on this one... I'm back and forth on it, personally:

I like the processing but there's something between the background and chain that irks, as if they do not belong together. I can't put my finger on it.

Also; the chain leads my eye out of the shot. It follows the chain to the lock to the corner. If the third was at the other side, it would be less of an issue. It could be me too.

I have seen professionals do a contact print of the 35mm roll, so that all the frames could be seen on one sheet. That way they could choose what to print and what not to.

I still have a lot of MF contact prints from 50 years ago. The advantage was that they required no enlarger and were decent enough to view - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
