Made it out to Magnolia. It was rather overcast, so ISOs were high. Starting to get more and more birds nesting there. AF tracking on the Z8 worked well. It's not perfect, but I get a respectable percentage of in focus shots. Alot of the out of focus shots were either me not keeping the bird in the frame, or intervening trees/bushes and then the camera needing to reacquire the bird. I'm starting to experiment with different AF areas. As expected, some work better than others for me. That 20 fps sure eats up the card. I had almost 800 images before I realized it. It's a good thing the CIPA rating of 330 shots per charge is way off base. I was only down one bar on the battery after those 800 shots.
