If you do the maths its about 220mm, any longer and i cant find the bird

Something like a 5.6 crop factor with that size sensor,thats how they can get away with saying it has such a long zoom range.

Oh, I thought the focal length was converted into 35mm equivalents , so an exif for a 600mm lens on a FX or DX or micro ..would still read as 600mm fully zoomed out for calculating dof . Despite the change in magnification effect on the sensor. Thanks
