Actually to me it looks more like our Black headed gull
I'm not a gull expert , they are really tough , but I'm thinking that's a Franklin's gull. On underwing most of its gray , then a narrow band of white, then black is relegated to the end ,where there are white mirror spots. On upper surface you see the long white distal-most primaries.

My first real attempt at BIF. My neighbours killed a couple of their pigs and left the skins and guts up on the hill at the back of their property, I had to trek up the hill from behind my house to get closer to them while they were circling.
Happy that I got some birds in the frame, but I am not real happy with the quality of the images.
I guess its from not quite nailing the focus, but any tips would be welcome.
