Post your Birds in Flight

My shoulders and neck are now aching after trying for an hour to photograph the Swallows and House Martins we have nesting. I've probably moved my upper body more than I would of if I was Latin American dancing trying to track these speedies!

I kept asking them to slow down a little and take some predictive paths.......but no, they didn't listen.

Great post Craig.
Second hardest bird I've shot. Lined up in the viewfinder focus, "where the hell did it go?!!!" Hardest is a small endemic bird (a fantail) which as name suggests has an enormous air brake at the rear which enables super erratic flying while it captures insects in flight. I've only ever captured them whilst perching.

Would have like to have shot this Term in less harsh light as most of the shadow detail seems to have gone but these are cool looking birds when they hover trying to spot fish so thought I'd put them up anyway. Will maybe go back when the light is better.
