Nice Scott. For some reason, and I've shot tons, these birds are hard to capture on the fly. Come to think of it, I struggle when they are static. . Come to think of it, I struggle when they are static. Ok, this one is not quite static but see what I mean. It's a dirty bird and it's difficult to get contrast

How about because the male usually gets the nesting material, while the female builds the nest.
