I've just started shooting birds. We have a wide variety of large and small ones plus abundant waterfowl (geese approach pest level) and a few bald eagles. The later have been driving me crazy as I never seem to be outside when they make their passes.

Thanks for the kind words Pat! It's easier when you have a wetlands nearby with lots of nesting birds. The juvenile TriColor Herons are all over the place right now practicing their flying.

Maybe when I move to the savannah area I will be closer to that type of coastal activity!! I would like that! In the meantime, I will have to just be impressed by yours, jeffs (and others) excellence!

Thanks Jeff. Your D7000 tips helped also. I finally finished reading and checking out what works for me on the D7100. I bookmarked your link because some of the stuff is over my head right now. Thanks again for all your hard work writing it.
