Thanks. I wish I could say I planned it, but I was standing at the lake edge and it popped up right in front of me. It was all I could do to get it in frame before it was diving away again.

I'm used to seeing snowy egrets do the foot shuffle to scare up fish in the shallows, but this one was doing jumping jacks

Lately my hummer feeders have been inundated by bees, so I've had to change things around so everyone gets a share of the goods. It's a battle for this little lady, she was able to have a quiet moment alone. the males show up later in the day usually and the bees are usually gone.
