Male Pileated Woodpecker

It's my first time seeing one, lucky I had my camera with me.

Here's the male's special lady friend, she was very shy and I think being chased around by a hawk of some sort

Actually looks more like a juvenile Sharp Shinned Hawk after familiarizing myself a bit with allaboutbirds dot org.
