Andy and I went to the Falls of the Ohio. Right before we left I spotted what I thought might be a fish impaled on a stick in the log jam above the spill way of the dam. It turns out it was a Black Crowned Night Heron. And he just sat there and watch me get close enough to get a couple decent photos of him. The first photo is from where I first saw him. Then I was able to get a juvenile BCNH.

Nice size fish, bet it was upset it lost it!!
Have seen any BCNH's since Wako closed due to the virus.

It just sat there staring at the water like "what happened?" LOL It continued to hunt for another one until some guy did what he should not have done and spooked it off. I was ticked but I didn't say anything. he gave me a look like I can't believe I did that. So why say anything. He knew he screwed up. We have all done it.
