Not the most productive of days at Sweetwater Wetlands Preserve but a lot of it is my fault, I went at midday. Early morning and late afternoon is better because the birds are more active in the cooler temperatures. I did managed to get a few shots though.
This young male Anhinga had his throat pouch out hoping to attract a mate. To use a line from a Byrds (pun intended) song...….

This Double Crested Cormorant was panting
heavily. It was already 88º here in North Central FL at midday and these poor birds were already hurting. I guess with the dark plumage didn't help much in the brutal sun. D850. 600,mm f/4 ED IF AIS Nikkor
