You have to be really quick on the draw to catch these little fellas!

The 10 per second rate on the D500 helps a lot -- that and plain dumb luck

The good news is I found a creek with some nice birds. The bad new is the light was horrible. Even with the big iso's on most of these, I was pretty pleased with what I got

Even birds occasionally have bad hair days...……………this Snowy Egret definitely slept on its feathers wrong!

I never knew Belted Kingfisher have to regurgitate undegiestable bones and such. I never saw this happen before.
