We noticed a couple of Orioles in our Apple Tree I pulled out the 200-500 and put it on the wife's D7K camera and was shooting hand held as I was not sure how long they would be there and was shooting through a double pane window. This was on Sunday so I did some research and was amazed at what they go after! Monday I hung an orange half in my apple tree and waited for the bird to appear. I brought out the tripod (dumb move should have done that in the AM) as I spooked him and he flew up to a tall cherry tree. Well I had to pick up the granddaughter from school. By the time we got home he was at the orange so I mounted the D500 and 200_500. Here is one I got. --Lou Cioccio

A Long-billed Dowitcher, migrating north to Alaska or Siberia, stopped off in Colorado to "refuel" and rest a bit.
