Nick, I noticed you are using a D7100 with a 600mm lens. Might I ask what lens? My guess is it's not a DX.

Thanks. It's the Sigma 150-600 C. I'm still getting the hang of it. The bird had late day sun from the right and I was playing with camera mounted flash from about 25 feet away.

Her belly does have a yellow tint to it



fade to black ... in the darkness of the tall pine.
